Technically, this is not a Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo, but it is still made from Montepulciano grapes vinified in white. I think the reason why it is not labeled “Cerasuolo” is based on marketing choices and/or rules.

Dry rose’ wine, 13% alcohol. Light pink color. Medium intensity nose, presenting crushed stones, flowers, watermelon, and apple. Light body, with nice balance of aromas and structure. The acidity is medium, and the finish is pleasant and medium in persistence.

This is another intriguing, elegant yet subtle rosato that I tasted during my trip to Italy.
