This is another reference producer – Masciarelli – of my favorite rose’ denomination: Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo. These rose’ wines are made with 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes, and they tend to be relatively bold, full body, and with cherry-dominated aromas.
Dry rose’ wine, 14% alcohol. Medium-dark opacity (for a rose’), ruby/pink color. Medium intensity nose, presenting cherry, stones, some candied fruit. Medium-full body, good balance and concentration. Long finish. Nothing stands out because everything is well integrated.
This is richer than some other Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo that dI’ve had. It is very smooth too, with concentrated, cherry dominated aromas. Amazing.
