Tasted on October 8, 2025.
Dry red wine, 14.5% alcohol. Medium opacity, with burgundy/dark ruby hues. Medium-high intensity nose, with that unmistakable animal note of leather, along with strawberry, strawberry jam, raspberry, jujubes. Full body and rich, with slightly bitter tannins. The wine is very ripe – riper than some recent vintages.
This is a rich, fruit-forward Chianti Classico. It lacks a bit of balance because it shows some slight whiffs of alcohol and bitterness. Yet, the fruit intensity in the palate and nose makes it enjoyable.
