I finally got a chance to review this wine! This is a Carmignano, a blend of 70% Sangiovese plus some Cab and Merlot. This one of two widely available and reference producers of this denomination, the other one being Capezzana (one of my favorite wines, which I have already reviewed).

Dry red wine, 14.5% alcohol. Medium-high opacity, ruby rim. Medium intensity nose, with dark fruit, blackberry and blueberry specifically, and incense. The flavor profile has some fresh fruit and jam. Full body, rich and ripe aromas on the palate, concentrated. Long finish.

This wine is bold, rich and jammy, and dense. I am not the biggest fan of this style, but it is delicious.
