For the first wine of the year to review, I chose a classic and favorite of mine in a new vintage year.

Dry red wine, 14% alcohol. Medium-dark opacity, ruby rim. Medium intensity nose, with flowers, plums and blackberries. Medium-full body, great concentration of flavors, and relatively smooth – for a Chianti Classico. Finishes very long with plum aromas.

This is a dark and rich Chianti Classico, with concentrated fruit aromas and a smooth texture.
