I am a big fan of Garnacha varietal wine (also called Grenache). It is a red berry grape that also makes wonderful rose’ wines. Here is a Spanish example from the Jumilla appellation. It is made from 100% Garnacha.

Dry rose’ wine, 13% alcohol. Pale, pink salmon color. Medium-high intensity nose, displaying apple, pineapple, grass, parsley and hints of mineral. Light body, subtle in the palate, and smooth. The finish is medium-short.

This is not a cerebral wine, but it is a pleasant, light style rose’, subtle on the palate and with an intense nose.
