Tasted on April 23, 2024. #DailyWine #dnardi #Grillo #Sicily #Planeta #Value
This wine is made with a grape variety native of Sicily called Grillo. It’s always fun to explore uncommon wine varieties. This one is very aromatic, with bright acidity.
Dry white wine, 13.5% alcohol. Very pale, lemon color. Medium-high intensity nose, displaying green notes, minerals, and citrus. There are also some marzipan accents and dried apricots. In the palate, it is medium body, with good concentration and acidity that keeps making you come back for more. Long finish.
This wine packs everything – it is crisp, aromatic, and balanced – in a great value. I am going to stock up on this.
