This is another reference producer of Chianti Classico. Their vineyards are very high in altitude, around 500 m (1600 ft). This makes the wines fresher, more elegant, and with greater acidity (even more than other Sangiovese). With global warming, this is an asset.

Dry red wine, 13% alcohol. Medium opacity, garnet color. Medium intensity nose, with black fruit like blackberry, boysenberry, red fruit (raspberry), flowers and oregano. Medium body, vibrant with acidity. Same flavors in the palate, with also some orange rind. Good concentration of flavors. There is a perfume-like note in the palate, like blueberry and flowers, that makes the wine very aromatic. Long finish.

Give this wine some time when you taste it. The sensation of acidity will subside to reveal intense yet delicate aromas of fruit and flowers.
