This is the second wine that I review from this producer, which makes seriously delicious wines for bargain price. This is a rose’ made from Garnacha (Grenanche). Like some other red wine grapes (Montepulciano comes to mind), Garnacha makes – to me – better rose’ wines than reds. They are aromatic and elegant, whereas the reds can be a bit too big, ripe, and high in alcohol.

Dry rose’ wine, 13.5% alcohol. Bright, intense, beautiful color in between orange, pink, and fuxia. Medium intensity nose, with citrus notes (blood orange), wild strawberries, and celery. Hints of candied fruit too. Soft, medium body, with good concentration of flavors. A little of residual sugar makes this very easy to drink and to like. Good persistence of flavors.

I prefer a bit more freshness and acidity in my rose’ wines, but this softer style is something that a lot of people will be attracted to.
