Great Barbaresco, great aromatics, great value.

This wine is from an under the radar producer in Langhe, named Marco & Vittorio Adriano. They make incredible wines, but for some reason they are not mainstream. Praised by many reviews (e.g. Ian D’Agata), they must not appeal to others, or they would cost twice as much. This makes the consumer like me very lucky, as they are great values, albeit not easy to find. It is remarkable to drink such quality Barbaresco for this price.

Dry red wine, 14% alcohol. Bright ruby, medium opacity. Medium intensity nose, with a very pretty mix of red fruit, flowers, cherry, Christmas spices, and quince preserve. Very aromatic both in the nose and palate. Medium body, nice balance with a substantial structure to accompany the tasty fruit. The tannins are there, as you would expect, but they are well integrated. Long finish with red apple. Amazingly expressive wine, and a great value!
