A geeky, multilayered Chianti.

Dry red wine, 14% alcohol. Ruby with brick color rim. Medium opacity. Medium intensity nose, with strawberry, raspberry, rosemary, bay leaf, olives, and pencil shavings. Almost a salty nose. The mouthfeel presents a prominent structure accompanying the tasty fruit. This gives the wine a medium-full body, bright acidity and dusty tannins. I think it needs some time to come together, as now the components (including alcohol) do not seem well integrated. But it is delicious even now and already showing remarkable complexity and long finish. Try again in 10 years 🙂

P.S. Tasted twice with consistent notes. It reminds me of the Chianti Classico Riserva Rancia by Felsina, but this is much less expensive.
