This is the entry-level nebbiolo wine from this acclaimed producer in northern Piedmont.

Dry red wine, 13% alcohol. Dark ruby color, medium-dark opacity. Medium intensity nose, with red fruit (raspberry), rusty nail, rosemary, and dried prunes. There is almost like a medicinal note, like iodine. The nose is very expressive. Light body, with lots of tannins. Smoke and incense appear in the mouth. Finishes long with dusty and grainy tannins. This wine impresses for the unique aromatic profile – it is definitely not just fruit.
