From a reference producer in the Abruzzo region, this wine is made with 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grape, and is aged with no oak whatsoever. This preserves the fresh fruitiness of the grape.

Purple/pomegranate color, almost completely opaque. Medium intensity nose, with fresh grapey aromas, blueberry, and Mediterranean herbs. A bit muted initially. Medium-light body, fresh, juicy flavors in the palate. Soft. The finish is appealing. A bit monolithic and simple, but the aromas are delicious and the wine is well balanced.
